Associate Scientist II, Research Analytics

Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Scientist II to join our Research Analytics group and contribute to the further exploration of RNAi therapeutics. The successful candidate will help to support siRNA design and discovery through implementation of existing and novel analytical methods. Areas of focus include understanding in vivo/in vitro metabolism of siRNA in relevant tissue and cell types using established analytical methods, exploring stability of novel siRNA conjugates for targeted delivery, and developing robust analytical methods for early CMC work.

This position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize analytical techniques such as hybridization ELISA, MSD, ELISA, HPLC, Gel Electrophoresis, and Western Blot to support pharmacokinetic and stability analysis of siRNA.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and optimize assay conditions and sample preparation protocols to improve assay sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility.
  • Analyze and interpret ligand binding assay data to provide PK insights to present to team members.
  • Improve upon and/or develop new methods and automation for analysis of siRNA accumulation and stability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including PK/PD, bioanalytical, and discovery groups to integrate assay results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • 0-4 years of work experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality in experimental execution and design is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ligand binding assays (e.g., hybridization ELISA, MSD, ELISA) is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with bioanalytical techniques and instrumentation for PK analysis is preferred.
  • Experience with assay optimization, validation, and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation such as HPLC, Gel Electrophoresis, etc. is preferred.
  • Ability to function within a highly interdisciplinary environment is a must.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, good organization skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to work within a team and/or independently are required.
  • Strong commitment to high laboratory and scientific standards and the ability to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory work environment.

U.S. Pay Range

$67,800.00 - $95,600.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
