Job Overview

The Sales Engineersupports our sales & marketing efforts to provide our customers with a diverse wireless infrastructure solution. The role participate in standards committees, technical sales, trade shows, and customer meetings.The Sales Engineer provides customers with pre and post sales technical support including design assistance, answering technical questions, preparing offers, quotes, and proposals.

A Day In The Life

The following roles and responsibilities will be required to fulfill the position and are not all inclusive.



  • Provide customers with pre- and post-sales technical support including design assistance, answering technical questions, preparing offers, quotes, and proposals.
  • Proactively liaise, consult and engage with key customers and ensure a client experience above and beyond industry standards
  • Work closely with the Sales team and key customers to ensure that every given opportunity, the associated products are proposed as the preferred alternative to any other specified In-wall product.
  • Selectively utilize all available information resources to identify opportunities to write Hubbell into specifications during all stages of design.
  • Draw upon experience and prior use of all relevant tools to manage and drive Hubbell through targeted networking.
  • Carry out research to identify potential new clients and actively pursue new clientele opportunities.
  • Conduct product meetings and presentations within the relevant target markets, develop and maintain a rapport with new and existing clients, and subsequently follow through to the point of order.
  • Analyze client requirements on projects to prepare appropriate strategies and design solutions.
  • Always ensure client satisfaction, ensuring issues are resolved in order to achieve repeat business and ensure long-term client relationships.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information to Sales leadership.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager and Marketing to achieve key strategic marketing objectives.
  • Support the Sales leadership, as and when requested, including new business enquiries, Sales Meetings, exhibitions, promotional days and specific projects.
  • Collect and analyze customer input, requirements, and provide feedback and work with the product development team.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events and customer meetings.
  • Create and prepare compelling sales literature of technologically complex products and services.
  • Carry out training and support for the sales team.
  • Curate and post technical sales content for websites as necessary.
  • Develop WiFi Warranty program
  • Develop Integrator Training Program
