Overview

Alnylam is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as Sr. Director, HR Strategy and Operations. The Sr. Director, HR Strategy and Operations will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization's People & Culture strategy.

This dynamic leader will work closely with senior leadership and the Human Resources team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the company's overall mission and objectives. Acting as a key liaison between the Human Resources Leadership Team (HRLT) and other business units, this role will drive critical initiatives, improve processes, and foster cross-functional collaboration. This position requires a blend of leadership, insight, and a deep understanding of the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), providing insights, recommendations, and strategic support for People & Culture initiatives.
  • Oversee and drive the execution of strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Partner with the CHRO and HRLT to design and implement organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Support executive-level People & Culture communications and reports for leadership and board meetings.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive and forward-thinking function.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between HRLT and other key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead operational and project management efforts, ensuring efficiency and impact in programs and initiatives.
  • Support HRLT in decision-making through data-driven insights.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of the HR function by identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Manage and oversee HR governance, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and company standards.
  • Drive culture and employee engagement initiatives, working closely with HR teams and business leaders.
  • Manage day-to-day HRLT operational issues.
  • Lead Executive-led priority projects.
  • Manage "drumbeat" meetings and facilitate decision making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in HR with a focus on business partnership, organizational effectiveness, change management, and strategy.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align transformation strategies with organizational goals.
  • Familiarity with global market trends and the ability to drive strategic initiatives across multiple geographies.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional initiatives and leading high-impact projects.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and achieve results.
