Job Overview
This position will report to the Infrastructure Strategic Initiatives Leader and work closely with the Hosting & Cloud Services, Network & Voice Service, and End User Services teams to define, establish, and implement IT infrastructure automation optimization configurations, processes, and procedures. This position is also accountable for driving efficiency and optimizations throughout all infrastructure towers to improve speed and quality of service delivery for our IT and business stakeholders. The Device Management Architect & Automation Leader will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure automation processes. You will be responsible for analyzing existing systems, identifying opportunities for automation, and developing robust solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, design automation workflows, and ensure smooth integration with existing systems. You will also be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our Microsoft Intune and MECM environments along with other future automation tools. You will play a critical role in ensuring the secure and efficient management of our organization's devices, applications, and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, operations, and application teams to develop and execute strategies that align with our business priorities and objectives. This position requires senior level IT experience including Windows server systems administration, Windows client administration, active directory administration, virtualization administration, advanced Windows programing / scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.), mobile device management, application packaging, networking, and infrastructure hardware.
A Day In The Life
Lead the design, development, and implementation of infrastructure automation solutions.
Evaluate existing infrastructure processes/procedures and identify opportunities for automation.
Collaborate with internal infrastructure and application teams to understand requirements and design effective automation solutions to drive consistency and standardization.
Develop scripts, tools, and frameworks to automate infrastructure provisioning (client & server), configuration management, and monitoring.
Implement and manage automation tools, frameworks, and technologies.
Ensure automation solutions adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Intune and MECM infrastructure to support device management, application deployment, and data protection.
Develop and implement Intune and MECM policies and configurations for mobile devices, laptops, and desktops to meet security and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define Intune and MECM deployment strategies and best practices.
Monitor and troubleshoot Intune-related issues and provide timely resolution.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Intune features, updates, and industry trends to optimize device management processes.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Intune and MECM configurations, policies, and procedures.
Implement and enforce mobile device management (MDM) policies, including enrollment, app management, and security controls.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance Intune capabilities and improve overall efficiency.
Provide training and guidance to junior administrators and support teams.
Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance automation capabilities.
Perform regular system audits, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting for automation platforms.
Own and ensure timely delivery of audit related activities including SOX, UAR, and other applicable audit requests.
Implement and support Hubbell systems including installation, build, maintenance, administration, documentation, and troubleshooting of hardware and software for end user / client and hosting & cloud services environments.
Maintain the overall health, performance, security, and patching of all responsible Hubbell environments.
Act as SME (Subject Mater Expert) on projects critical to the business and infrastructure support of the business.
Lead, manage, and execute automation projects to drive modernization of Hubbell's IT infrastructure.
Ensure appropriate management of service desk queue support and issue resolution as required for responsible platforms, including delegation of activities to junior team members.
Enforce company policies, standards, and procedures.
Provide detailed troubleshooting, resolution, and root cause analysis to assure SLA compliance to the business in areas of responsibility.
Ensure security is a key priority for all IT infrastructure services, driving timely patching and strong operational processes that protect the enterprise.
Establish and enforce appropriate IT policies, processes, and procedures, aligning with industry best practices.
Maintain production operations according to business expectations with emphasis on security, availability, and scalability, across all IT infrastructure environments.
Participate in the evaluation, deployment, and management of new technologies in alignment with other engineers and architects.
Adhere to engineering and architecture standards and participate in technical review meetings as required.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Required Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Microsoft Intune and MECM Administrator.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Microsoft AutoPilot administration.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience developing PowerShell scripts for administration, configuration, automation, and optimization of tasks for Microsoft clients and servers.
* 7-10+ years of system administrator experience with infrastructure systems such as:
- Microsoft Active Directory Administration, EntraID Administration (Azure Active Directory - AAD)
- Microsoft Office365 Management and Support
- Virtualization - VMware and\or Hyper-V
- Microsoft Windows Server environments
- Client (Desktops, Laptops, Tablets) & Server Hardware (Rack and Blade Servers/Storage)
- System/Network administration
- VMWare ESX/ESXI Administration and Configuration
- Apple macOS and iPhone iOS
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including device management, application deployment, and conditional access policies.
* Demonstrated experience with supporting Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud environments:
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and/or Windows 365
- Azure VMware Services (AVS)
* In-depth understanding of mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) concepts and best practices.
* Proficiency in Intune policy creation, configuration, and enforcement.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, YAML, or Bash. Preferred Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and technologies.
* Solid understanding of networking protocols, server administration, and system architectures.
* Advanced Comprehension of LAN/WAN connectivity, firewall, SNMP, WMI, NetFlow, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and other administration and management protocols.
* Advanced customer service skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Experience with infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical Competencies
* IT infrastructure technical certifications preferred (Microsoft, AWS, Red Hat, etc.)
* Experience with multiple IT infrastructure automation tools preferred: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, AWS CloudFormation, Chocolatey, and Azure Automation.
