Job Overview Perform general engineering technician functions which includes working in test cages and job sites with up to typically 480 VAC/VDC; testing new and modified products; processing material release and engineering change notices; and support assembly and product testing. A Day In The Life Duties and Responsibilities Create/modify prototype and production drawings Create/modify drawings and quotes for ETO (Engineered to Order) fire pump controllers, HRGs (High Resistance Grounding systems), radio and crane controls and cable harnesses Create/modify component selection tables Verify customer POs match sales orders Process engineering change notices Create/modify materials, routings and BOMs in the SAP business database Test prototypes and products and record observations Travel on service visits up to 10% of the time Interact well with personnel in other departments Other duties as assigned What will help you thrive in this role? Skills and Experience 3 - 5 years of electro-mechanical or related experience Experience with the fabrication and wiring of electrical control panels Experience with common electrical test equipment and hand tools Troubleshooting at the PCB level Soldering experience Familiar with NEC (NFPA 70) Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and Autocad Electrical Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Access Altium experience is a plus SAP experience is a plus Education Associates degree in electrical/electronics engineering Potential to continue education toward a bachelor's degree Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
