Overview:

Sentara Healthcare is hiring aCardiac Surgical Technologist (CST) for the Sentara Heart Hospital's CVOR that is located on the campus of Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia

Shift:

Full Time, First Shift. 4 10-hr shifts.

Hours rotate between 7-5 and 9-7, typically only one 9-7 per week.

Call required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior Cardiac experience STRONGLY PREFERRED. If no cardiac experience, candidates with 5+ years main OR experience preferred
• Surgical Technologist Virginia License/Registration REQUIRED
• Surgical Technologist National Certification REQUIRED
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program REQUIRED

The cardiothoracic operating room is part of the surgical services team that treat open-heart (cardiothoracic) patients. We are made up of five operating rooms which includes a hybrid OR. We handle 8+ OR cases daily.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
