Responsibilities:

This is a new data platform and this team is operating as a startup. As such, your role will involve designing, implementing, and managing RBS's quality architecture, ensuring robust testing frameworks, standards, tools, and techniques; as well as executing manual test strategies and scripting automated tests to assess usability, accuracy, performance, security, and functionality, aiming for zero defects in production. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify and mitigate quality risks across the end-to-end data value stream. Strong leadership in quality architecture design, quality processes, attention to detail, and hands-on expertise in testing are essential.

Experience Requirements:

  • 7+ years in software testing and quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a senior/lead role.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing quality architecture and test strategies.
  • Strong experience with manual and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of usability, performance, security, and functional testing methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing tools within DevOps environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex quality concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills to work cross-functionally with development and product teams.
  • Certification in QA methodologies or tools (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
  • Previous experience with an inaugural Dev Team or startups is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
