Sanmina Corporation has facilities strategically located in key regions throughout the world Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-non ferrous and other exotic alloys. JOB DESCRIPTION Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES: * Plan and Execute projects focused on evaluating and optimizing existing processes, as well as developing new technologies which fuel innovation, growth, and productivity through measured improvement. * Work cross functionally with factory teams to drive documented process development, yielding, demonstrable process improvements and enhanced capability. * Develop and deliver technical documentation, associated hard/soft materials, and metrics enabling technology transfer to manufacturing, quality and management. * Provides technical support and training. * Writes standard work (SOPs) for new processes. Updates existing accordingly. * Perform hazard and risk analysis for new products and sustaining products * Perform investigations for issues affecting product quality * Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification. * Develop and execute verification and validation plans and protocols associated with product/process quality according to ISO regulations and company SOPs * Maintains safe and healthy work environment by ensuing that policies and safety procedures are followed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related fields. * Requires a minimum of 2 -5 years of related experience. Preferred experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment, process engineering. * Advanced MS Excel experience including VB and macro scripts is required. * Experience with C programming is desirable. * Experience with QlikView B1 highly desirable. * CAD or Auto-CAD skills and/or familiarity * Proven experience in defining and leading technical projects. * Experience with process engineering, project management, methodologies and metrics. * Ability to multitask and successfully manage several projects simultaneously. * Effective communicator with the ability to drive the flow of information.
