Orthopedic Technician - Days

Position Highlights:

• Position: Orthopedic Technician

• Location: Naperville, IL

• Full Time: 40 hours

• Hours: Monday - Friday varies between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

• Travel to other Locations: Plainfield, and other Orthopedic offices as needed

What you will do:

• Greet patients and place in exam room

• Perform vital signs

• Perform dressing changes

• Fit required durable medical equipment (DME)

• Cast removal, cast and splint application

• Assistance with casting procedures under fluoroscopy

• Speak with patients over the phone and assist with problems

• Educate patients on care

• Support physician and office activity

What you will need:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred

• Certification:Current CPR certification required

• Passing the Registered Orthopedic Technologist certification test within 12 months of hire date

• One year of experience in a physician practice setting preferred

• Evidence of leadership, problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, basic computer skills and clinical competence
