GENERAL SUMMARY:

Assists Corewell Laboratory Manager and Supervisors with management of daily operations by involvement with personnel functions (e.g. route evaluation, etc.), scheduling and delegating work assignments, updating/revising courier policies/procedures, fleet maintenance and training programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Assists with scheduling courier staff, dispatches and manages resources to insure proper route coverage to client facilities to support Corewell Laboratory's growth and expansion; assigns and follows up on assignments of STAT and "auxiliary" pick-ups; coordinates services by available resources on a daily basis.

2. Investigates and follows up client complaints; provides hands on client services support.

3. Utilizes computer systems essential for day-to-day courier operations, i.e. Soft Express, Outlook.

4. Completes/teaches multiple courier routes and assignments spanning the entire Beaumont Laboratory Service Area.

5. Performs ISO and Laboratory compliance audits.

6. Performs route verifications, QA and TAT's.

7. Completes post-route analysis to ensure that service was delivered accurately and timely.

8. Develops, updates and administers policies and procedures.

9. Assists Manager and Supervisors with projects required to support the continued growth and development of Corewell Laboratory.

10. Assists with fleet maintenance.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education / Training:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

B. Work Experience:

* Minimum of 4 years courier/logistics experience required.

C. Certification, Licensure, Registration:

* Valid MI driver's license required.

D. Other Qualifications:

* Excellent communication skills and positive, professional attitude at all times; ability to lift/maneuver heavy supply orders and/or quantities of cargo in and out of vehicles many times in a shift. Previous computer experience preferred (Windows).
