The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology (
CCB) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in physical chemistry with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2025. We especially welcome applicants in theoretical and computational physical chemistry, including data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in the chemical and biomolecular sciences.
The successful candidate will have access to rich experimental and computational resources on campus and engage with world-class research faculty within the department and the University community. Job duties include: establishing and directing an independent research program, pursuing and securing grant funding, undergraduate and graduate teaching in chemistry, and service on departmental committees.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
