As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the design, development and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills.

This position will support Mon - Fri 3:00PM-12:00AM

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements

  • Performs shop order release/closure in MRP System and reconciles parts

  • Provide detailed status of work in progress, material availability, and communicates constraints to schedule

  • Prepare work orders for the production of parts based on MRP, master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements

  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics and program.

  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders

  • Work cross functionally to expedite any material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas

  • Implement material stocking strategy on production lines, monitor, control and maintain proper floor stock

  • Control the proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing

  • Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production to ensure work completes on time to schedule.

  • Monitor the velocity of the disposition of MRB and stranded material

  • Enter material transactions in ERP system

  • Prepare reports and note shortages/damage

  • Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required.

  • Prepare for, conduct and assist in reconciliation of cycle counts

  • Work with Engineering and Warehousing teams to resolve part discrepancies

  • May be required to interface with departments throughout the company

  • Must possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision making skills, and the ability to think outside the box

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years supply chain, logistics, scheduling, demand planning, or planning experience

  • Experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling

  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)

  • Experience working with a cross functional team

  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office, ERP experience with MRP execution desired.

  • Excellent written /verbal communications skills

  • Demonstrates understanding and is able to apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar

  • Can read, run, and write SQL (Structured Query Language)

  • Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion

  • Based upon job duties, may need to work in various areas that may cause exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.

  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Ability to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities and management and customer decisions

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)

  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong math and analytical skills to solve problems

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
