Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Community Investment & Strategy Specialist within our Community Relations and Employee Engagement Department based in Houston, TX.

The Community Investment & Strategy Specialist is responsible for analyzing and evaluating community investments and executing strategic initiatives to increase employee engagement in support of the community investment strategy and in coordination with other domestic engagement activities.

The successful candidate will be a valuable liaison with our internal and external stakeholders, while also influencing and advancing our community investment strategy. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Collect and analyze impact metrics for the company's community investment program and partnership ROI, this includes integrating reports into executive and benchmarking summaries.

* Assist with coordination of community investment strategy and implementation including reporting outcomes and ensuring compliance of the distribution of corporate/employee contributions to charitable organizations.

* Maintain the corporate social responsibility and employee engagement software, to include ongoing evaluation and monitoring of the system.

* Assist with the evaluation of domestic Employee Giving programs on an annual basis.

* Analyze results and engagement of Employee Giving and volunteer programs and recommend ways to increase engagement year after year.

* Assist in preparing, evaluating, and analyzing the community investment budget on an annual basis.

* Facilitate best practice sharing across the Community Relations & Employee Engagement team to include industry best practices, and developing, implementing, and maintaining processes to maximize efficiency and streamline outputs.

* Provide, research, local insights, and engagement to support the company's philanthropic strategy.

* Benchmark performance against peer companies and make recommendations to improve the company's community investment program.

* Proactively identify emerging issues faced by the organization. Identify opportunities and solutions and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them. This includes responding to changing circumstances and environments.

* Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure outstanding implementation of the community relations program and look for ways to continue to increase impact and advocacy while creating sustainable solutions to community issues. Monitor progress, track performance indicators, and report on the effectiveness of these initiatives.

* Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on community engagement activities, outcomes, and key performance indicators, as well as the performance and development of the community engagement team.

* Helps maintain positive image for the organization and its representatives.

* Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability, Communications, Economics, or related field.

* 3+ years preferred experience in community relations/affairs, employee advocacy, corporate philanthropy, non-profit or foundation management or equivalent experience with progressively increasing accountabilities.

* 3+ years of relevant work experience in program development and implementation, business analysis is preferred.

* Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with strong conceptual thinking and the ability to construct narratives concerning the meaningful opportunities and challenges facing our business.

* Demonstrate ability to identify gaps in processes and identify alternatives. Ability to analyze metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

* Creative and strategic thinker with experience developing, executing, and measuring strategic communications programs and campaigns.

* Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.

* Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

* Strong project management experience with ability to simultaneously facilitate and track multiple projects and activities to completion.

* Demonstrate a high-level of creativity, innovation, as well as flexibility and collaboration with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment; demonstrate a high-degree of initiative; results-oriented.

* Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and must have the ability to comfortably interact with executives, senior leaders and external partners. Experience preparing presentations and presenting to senior management and community leaders.

* Excellent networking skills with the ability to positively represent the company at all times.

* Advanced level skills in MS Office.

* Availability to work evenings and weekend events as needed.

* Ability to travel up to 10%.
