Position Responsibilities


The Associate Research Analyst position supports the data collection, research and analysis of public sector content in support of Deltek Information Solutions product sets, providing research and analysis in the government contracting market.

The Associate Research Analyst will utilize web-based and primary research and human intelligence to identify, qualify, and describe government contracting activities. Successful applicant must have superior research capabilities as well as a demonstrated commitment to excellence.

This position specializes in State, Local, and Educational (SLED) government contracting associated with the General Government Services market. This is an entry level position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify, investigate and draft records on state government contracting activities, such as planned procurements.
  • Conduct research and use knowledge of government procurement processes to add content to Deltek's GovWin IQ database.
  • Interact with Government officials orally and in written correspondence to gather information and insights.
  • Organize, analyze, and synthesize data and information using Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other internal content management tools.
  • Stay abreast of public sector procurement, contracting, and policy trends.
  • Participate in formal quality assurance reviews to ensure maintained delivery of data quality.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality and timely responses to customer research inquiries.
  • Contribute to product planning, product enhancements, and recommend improvements.
  • Any other tasks, reports and research associated requests, as needed / assigned.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business development or public sector administration. Advanced Degree preferred, but not required.
  • Must have excellent computer and Internet research skills.
  • Knowledge within the Public Sector contracting marketplace highly desirable, preferably in procurement or business development.
  • Excellent client and personal relationship skills; team player: enthusiastic, hardworking and pleasant attitude.
  • Capable of independently managing time & tasks to accomplish content & product objectives.
  • Some familiarity with public policy issues and a keen professional interest in the business of government.

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $38500.00 - $67500.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
