Direct Sales Representative

Location: Bradley, Illinois



Opportunity to earn up to $85,000 or more!

We offer a $40,000 annual base salary with a commission plan that allows you the freedom to exceed quota! (*See total compensation details below the job description). You will be representing a superior internet package and company that cares about you and our customers.

Where you will work:



  • This is a dynamic opportunity to represent our residential sales initiatives, in the Bradley, Illinois greater market, based in the field and out of our local branch. The outside sales representative will build relationships with residential customers within our serviceable footprint.


A Day in the Life of the Direct Sales Representative:



  • Effectively sells data, video and phone residential services to consumers living in single family homes and medium-sized properties
  • Cultivate individual sales through relationship building and maintaining a bi-weekly sales quota
  • Obtain new customers in a single family residential environment through professional, face-to-face interaction with residents, property owners, and other referral sources
  • Aggressively pursue any leads provided daily
  • Cultivates own sales through neighborhood canvassing and maintains bi-weekly sales quota
  • Obtains new customers in a residential market through professional, face-to-face interaction with residents, property management teams and other referral sources.
  • Utilizes cold calling techniques
  • Distributes marketing material and participates in scheduled fun sales events
  • Up-sells current and new customers
  • Understands customer needs and articulate solutions
  • Attends mandatory sales meetings
  • Advocates for customers and reports concerns promptly to management
  • Reports sales statistics accurately and promptly to management
  • Assists with training and mentoring for potential new hires
  • Stays up to date with what the competitive landscape effecting Astound Chicago
  • Other duties as assigned


What You Bring to the Table:



  • Ability to work in a fast paced challenging environment
  • Enjoys working outdoors "on the hunt" since 90% of all work is in the field
  • Direct Sales, Indirect Sales or Marketing background in the telecommunications industry is a plus
  • You have a positive, upbeat, creative, and persuasive personality
  • Must be a motivated, strategic, self-starter and comfortable with working autonomously
  • Excellent communications, relationship building, organizational, presentation and influence skills
  • You are sales-quota driven
  • Has the highest levels of integrity
  • Detail oriented and has highly developed organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Some evening and weekend hours required


Education and Certifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent

*Base Salary: The base salary range for this position in Illinois state is $40,000, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits, commission, and sales incentives if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, geographical area, experience, and capabilities.

Commissions at plan: Targeted commissions at full attainment could be up to $50,000 annually. Our sales total compensation offers the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
