The Jack Kirrane Ice Rink in Brookline is now hiring for part-time Ice Rink staff. The ice rink is expected to open in December through February, weather dependent. Weekend and vacation week availability (especially during public skating hours) is a must. 12:00 pm-5:00 pm on Saturdays & Sundays and 8:00 pm -10:00 pm on Fridays. Flexible weekday schedule to work additional hours.
Ice Rink Coordinator
Support the Resource Manager and the Rink Manager with staff orientation. Support and assist the Ice Rink Manager and Resource Manager in the daily operations of the Ice Rink. Work with staff on finding coverage for time off requests. Ensure all staff and skaters are following protocols. Coordinate with Parks Department during times of inclement weather to ensure optimum use of the skating rink while providing up-to-date and accurate closure details to the public when necessary. Ensure that the facility is clean and well prepared for all rentals and public skating hours.
- Pay Rate: $18 per hour
- Requirements: Must be minimum 18 years' old.
- Reports To: Facilities Supervisor, Ice Rink Manager
Ice Rink Staff
Staff is responsible for performing cashier services at the front desk, and pro shop. In addition to assisting with, general building care, and custodial work. Regular mandatory weekend availability is required. Previous experience with skating, customer service is preferred. Training will be provided. Several shifts available.
- Pay Rate: $17 per hour
- Requirements: Must be minimum 14 years' old.
- Reports To: Facilities Supervisor, Ice Rink Manager
Ice Rink Skate Guards
Skate Guards are responsible for patrolling the ice surface during public skate sessions, performing cashier services at front desk, pro shop, and managing concession stand, in addition to assisting with general building care and custodial work. Training will be provided. Several shifts available. Must be able to skate.
- Pay Rate: $17 per hour
- Requirements: Must be minimum 14 years' old.
- Reports To: Facilities Supervisor, Ice Rink Manager
