Responsibilities

We are seeking a Digital Content Developer for our Creative Services/ Digital Media department. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in CMS, primarily in WordPress, and have a proficiency in HTML/CSS, Photoshop/Adobe Creative Suite, and email platforms such as Delivera, Constant Contact, and MailChimp.

Responsibilities include:

    Code custom designed HTML emails with best practices in mind. Primarily for event campaigns, newsletters, and transactional emails.
  • Assist in implementing event pages, custom forms, and other user journeys.
  • Stage new web content and refresh existing copy and imagery for our institutional website.
  • Assist in the re-templating and migration of web content into our new CMS (WordPress).
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of digital sign messages on various channels across our Long Island and New York City campuses.
  • Participate in digital product brainstorming, concept development, and implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This is a hybrid position, based in New York City.



Qualifications

Bachleor Degree required.

Minimum 2-3 years professional experience needed.

Strong project management experience needed.

Design and writing/editing skills are a plus.

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Higher Education/ Non-profit experience preferred.

Digital & Web development/ production (front end)expertise.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
