Henry Ford Medical Group's Department of Neurology is seeking a board-certified Neurologist to lead our clinical and research programs in behavioral neurology, aging, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease. Fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology and a proven track record of successful, high impact funded clinical research is desired. Our Behavioral Neurology Division seeks a specialist passionate about treating patients in various stages and etiologies of cognitive decline. The Memory Clinic team provides comprehensive evaluation and care for patients with memory concerns. We have established a new Center for Cognitive Health focused on early diagnosis and intervention for Alzheimer's disease, providing the latest diagnostic modalities and treatment of memory loss and dementia, including PET imaging, cerebrospinal fluid analysis, genetic testing, EEGs, neuropsychology. The Behavioral Neurology team includes a behavioral neurologist, two geriatric psychiatrists, an advanced practice provider, two social workers, infusion nurse coordinator plus solid nursing and administrative support. The 3-year center development plan calls for adding 3 clinicians together with the development of a robust clinical trials enterprise across the spectrum of cognitive decline including normal individuals at high risk. Community outreach and support to underserved populations within our service area will also be a focus of the Center. Our program has 30 years of experience in the medical management of Alzheimer's and dementia, with a UCNS-approved behavioral neurology fellowship training program. Our busy clinical practice treats over 800 individual memory patients per year and includes the use of the latest tools to diagnose the stages of memory loss and dementia. The Department of Neurology has a busy and active clinical trials unit with expertise in stroke, critical care, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and neuromuscular disorders.
