Summary:

This position is responsible for the accurate reporting of the intrastate pipeline assets utilizing various tools
including ArcMap, ArcMap customized tools, FileNet, Pulse field reporting, Pulse construction Reporting, etc. This includes
research, modifications and updates to the pipe specifications, pipeline features and pipeline facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to use ArcGIS to create and edit linear and stationed route events, activity reporters, reconciling/posting versions,
use of GPS surveying, ILI reports and generation of alignment sheets.
- Quality Control of data for facilities and pipeline features such as coating, fittings, hydrotests, MAOP records, etc.
- Ability to read and utilize drawings, schematics, alignment sheets and detailed meter and compressor station drawings.
- Manage multiple tasks with a focus on pre-preparation of project information before beginning the modification/correction
of data
- Assessment of Transmission and Gathering Lines, processing of maintenance work orders that includes reroutes, valve
replacements and additions, meter additions/replacements, etc. Use as-built data data to complete editing of features..
- Correct stationing, maintenance of pipeline points and linear records upon request.
- Ability to research pipeline historical data such as: material lists, completion reports, AFE/Work Order authorization,
hydro tests, mill tests and Management of Change forms and documents.
- Ability to research archived hardcopy pipeline asset documentation through project boxes, field retrieval, verbal
communication with Project Managers and implementation of CFR 192.
- Works closely with Integrity Project Managers and other internal/external customers.
- Has the ability to multi-task projects within a group of 20+ people.
- Can delegate and manage different types of work projects - new construction, change requests, status change requests, etc
- Has a good working knowledge of UPDM pipeline hierarchy and how functions relate to each other

Requirements: Education and/or experience, knowledge and abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:




  • - High school diploma or equivalent
    - Degree in GIS or equivalent work experience.
    - 6+ years of related pipeline experience.
    - Knowledge and experience using ESRI Software, UPDM environment and ArcCatalog Tools and techniques.
    - Good computer skills - proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
    - Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

  1. Usually, normal office working conditions.
  2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods sitting or standing.
  3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
