Oncology Analytics Project Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Comprehensive Center at Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a talented Oncology Analytics Project Manager. This role will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing data and technology related initiatives, as well as aligning priority SKCCC metrics and reporting processes. The position will coordinate multiple projects assigned across oncology services, utilizing subject matter expertise to propose and implement innovative solutions to operational leaders, standardize data sources and downstream reporting, and support a data-driven culture at SKCCC. Experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by applicants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Understand and catalog the ecosystem of data-driven tools and resources that exist across the enterprise with utility for the SKCCC
  • Develop and maintain list of preferred data sources for use by various oncology stakeholders across the enterprise while aligning data definitions
  • Serve as a resource to operational, research, and clinical leaders in accessing and interpreting preferred data sources
  • Develops and manages project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Assists in the development of project management tools and educational programs and ensures that standard toolkits and methodologies are used across the enterprise, suggests changes and improvements to processes proactively.
  • Support alignment of data and technology strategy and prioritization through administrative management of the data and technology committees and working groups
  • Build strong relationships with the SKCCC community to determine changing needs, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Educate the SKCCC population on the available data and platforms provided
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES needed in addition to Essential Functions:

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelorsrsquo; Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field required. Masterrsquo;s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management/coordination required.
  • Experience in healthcare or related environment preferred.
  • Must have ability to communicate, prioritize, and organize projects among a broad spectrum of focuses.
