A transformational leader responsible for supporting the Rehabilitation Services Manager and Home Health Director in the day to day operations of the Home Health Rehabilitation Services Department.
Responsibilities to include effective resource utilization, program and policy development, implementation and evaluation. As a member of the Rehabilitation Services leadership team, the individual demonstrates clinical expertise and will be involved in continuous quality improvement, customer service, resource and financial management, efficient and effective system processes and professional development. Will perform patient care as needed.
- Assists Manager or Director in ensuring the highest and safest level of care is received by all patients served according to professional standards, regulatory and departmental guidelines.
- Serves as an integral member of the Rehabilitation Services leadership group
- Shares accountability with Manager or Director for unit/department/organizational goals achievement including patient experience, team member engagement and continuous process improvement.
- Will assist Manager or Director with recruitment, retention, coaching, training, evaluation and development, as well as preparation and delegation of work schedules and workflow.
With supervision from Manager or Director, participates in basic human resource functions. Provides managerial support as required. Develops, implements and participates in Quality Improvement Processes activities. Works with members of the health care team in activities designed to improve patient care outcomes. Provides leadership and serves as a resource in the provision of patient care and department activities. Assists assigned staff in development of problem solving and decision-making skills. Maintains all records pertaining to the staff competency and quality audits and other related records of assigned staff. Serves as a professional role model, coach, and resource for employees. Participates actively in department and/or hospital committees and work groups. Assists Manager or Director in fiscal management of department including managing of supplies, labor, budget preparation and benchmarking Performs therapeutic assessment and treatment according to established guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $87,755.20 - $140,400.00 Annual
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Physical Therapy- Education: Minimum-Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Prefer master's or Doctoral Degree Experience: Must have home health experience. Prefer 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience Licensure: Valid license or registration to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in Therapy discipline required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Valid Driver's License required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. UVA Continuum Home Health Care offers our therapy clinicians autonomy in their professional practice, provides scheduling support while also allowing self-scheduling and provides mileage reimbursement at the Federal level. We offer career advancement via our clinical ladder. We do not require candidates to have previous home care or OASIS experience. We provide an extensive onboarding orientation/training program for all new therapy clinicians who join our team.
