Description

General Position Overview

  • Design and Develop Packaging and Containers for Incoming and Outgoing material
  • Develop Process to standardize incoming material, launch new projects with appropriate packaging
  • Work with Suppliers, Customers, Engineering and Purchasing to develop Packaging Requirements

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for carrying out major assignments aimed at determining optimal methods and processes for manufacturing company products.
  • Coordination of activities with other departments, such as R&D, production control, and purchasing.
  • Product Launch:
  • Develop Incoming Packaging Plan
  • Develop Finished Goods Packaging Plan
  • Develop Testing Standards with Mechanical Engineering, Suppliers, Customers and Purchasing Teams
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify and Lead Kaizen Activities.
  • Review Customer Feedback and RMA's to develop Packaging Improvements
  • Develop Returnable Packaging System with Suppliers and Customers
  • Review Current Packaging and Develop Cost Reduction Strategies through Improvements and Standardization
  • Participate in Sustainability Projects to Meet SoundOff Signal and Customer Sustainability Goals
  • Serve SoundOff Signal Teams and Goals through the following True North Philosophy:

Physical

Requirements

  • Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
  • Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
  • May work remotely
  • Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience preferred.
  • ISO quality system and lean manufacturing experience/training.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able and willing to train others as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to operate: PC, WORD, EXCEL, SolidWorks, Minitab
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis.
  • Statistical Analysis/Root Cause Analysis.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 Requirements.
