Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a Design authority for high-quality, cost-effective, and timely engineering solutions for Medium Voltage Drives - Packaging projects to customers in diverse market segments like oil & gas, metals, test labs. Complete assignments on multiple pro-jects to meet customer requirements cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

This role is contributing to the Motion - Systems Drives Packaging. This position is in Berlin, WI. Main stakeholders are both our internal and external customers.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Coordinating engineering discipline across several projects. Providing engineering support for engineered-to-order solutions during the bid phase, execution, testing, installation and commissioning. Preparing complete project documents. Serving as a specialist in drives application and technology. Scope incudes various VSI and LCI Medium Voltage Drives, converter transformers, induction and synchronous motors, excitation systems, switchgear, cooling solutions, UPS, PLCs, e-house installations, cables & bus ducts.
*Supporting Project and Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.). Providing cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirements and delivering within budget and contract. Ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
*Interacting with customers, officials, contractors and others. Attending project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments.
*Maintaining network of engineering professionals and sharing engineering best practices across different projects and disciplines. Leading compliance of project engineering to applicable industry standards like IEEE, UL, IEC etc.

Qualifications for the role
  • BS in Electrical Engineering Required. MS Preferred
  • 8 Yrs. Professional Engineering Experience
  • Experience with MV Variable Speed Drives Required
  • Highly skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously and familiar with SAP
  • Experience with CAD software, such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical is a bonus
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis tools like MATLAB, NEPLAN
  • Must be passport eligible or a current valid passport holder
  • Customer focused, collaborative, organized and have a strong technical aptitude
