Penn State Extension is seeking a high performing, positive, enthusiastic, critical and strategic thinking, problem solving Operations Manager, who is skilled in financial/budgetary, personnel, and operations management; problem, change, project, and process management; strong relationship building; and thrives in a complex, dynamic, fast changing environment. This individual, as a member of a collaborative team of other Extension Area Business Operations Managers across the commonwealth, will provide leadership, direction and oversight to the operational/business functions and processes for the county extension offices in their assigned geographic area. The successful candidate will be able to operate primarily from a base county office location anywhere within Area 9 (which includes Berks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon and Schuylkill Counties). This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process. Education and Experience: Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree or higher and 8 or more years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Travel is required. This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as part of the job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
