The University of Virginia's Health System Physical Plant has an opportunity for a Senior Plumber in our Health System Physical Plant. Senior Plumbers are responsible for similar duties as Plumbers, however, they operate with advanced skill and independence. Senior Plumbers direct, lead, and perform a wide variety of advanced repair, installation, and maintenance tasks to plumbing fixtures and related equipment. They are responsible for independently installing, repairing, and replacing complex plumbing equipment, while providing technical guidance to lower-level plumbers. Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Seven years of experience. Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment, and Medical Gas experience preferred. Licensure: Journey or Master level plumbing license required. Valid Driver's License. Compensation: The Anticipated Hiring Range for this position is $29 - $34 per hour ($60,320 - $70,720 Annually). This is a full-time position with UVA benefits. Physical Demands: Employee must be able to variously sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, lift, pull, and use both hands-on repetitive tasks (including overhead tasks).
