The Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the UVA School of Education and Human Development seeks applicants for a Data Collector (Wage) position to work in Loudoun County, Virginia.
The Active Playful Learning Data Collector (Wage) will conduct on-site observations at partner elementary schools, working directly with teachers. Incumbents will collect data using project guidelines and ensure secure transfer of collected data. The position involves establishing rapport with teachers along with knowledge of study research procedures and protocols. In this position, you will support primary researchers in recruitment efforts and the collection of data and information through data tracking systems, surveys, and other means. The incumbent will conduct classroom observations during regular school day hours, following protocol procedures and rating systems. Each classroom observation will last a regular school day, and there will be multiple classrooms to be observed. Training will be provided. Sessions are scheduled according to the needs of the study. Availability during normal elementary school hours (7:45 am - 3:30 pm) is essential. Reliable transportation for traveling between schools (mileage reimbursed) is required Position Compensation Range: $21.00 - $23.00 Hourly This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
