JOB TYPE Classification: Nonexempt Supervises Positions: No JOB SUMMARY Performs various duties related to the aesthetic maintenance of the facilities and equipment including painting, patching, and installation of wall protector, wall covering, cove base corner guards, floor covering, and ceiling tile. Customer Service: Collaborates with service personnel, inspectors, and vendors in facility maintenance.
Safety: Ensures company assets are in a safe working condition.
Compliance: Maintains knowledge and compliance with regulatory agencies.
Inter-departmental Collaboration: Interacts with individuals from different departments and levels of authority.
Engineering and Maintenance Expertise: Maintains the service life of company assets such as physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, utilities, and grounds.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma required. Experience: 1 of experience painting, patching, installing wall covering, ceiling tile, wall protective materials, rubber base, and some floor covering required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: Valid and applicable driver's license required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully apply customer satisfaction standards. Good oral and written communication skills. Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools. Ability to skillfully use trade related tools and equipment. Ability to plan and lay out work including estimating labor and material cost. Ability to distinguish the nature of objects and color. Ability to perform and learn to perform a wide range of general maintenance and repair work not requiring full journeyman skill. Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demand Code: 15A, Maintenance Work Function/Activity: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand The job requires standing and walking constantly and frequently bending/stooping. Frequent repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
