Overview: Compliance Coordinator

This position is responsible for reviewing processes as part of Heritage's compliance and continuous improvement process. The compliance coordinator's role is ensuring staff comply with compliance and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare written reports/procedures and assemble data
  • Obtain OIG Investigator credential and assist in conducting investigations
  • Assist in staff education related to compliance
  • Assist in coordination of agency accreditation efforts (CARF)
  • Assist with activities related to agency contracts/grants with local, state, and federal funders
  • Work with staff to develop, maintain, and implement plans to achieve quality improvement goals
  • Ensure staff members conform to industry regulations an agency policy through utilization review
  • Monitor performance improvement projects across the organization
  • Maintain MOUs/MOAs and policies/procedures
  • Monitor medical records operations and staff as well as develop and implement plan of improvement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Willingness to work with people who are attempting to recover from a serious and persistent mental illness
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity, uncertainty, and change
  • Ability to navigate electronic health records; Program Manager only has access
  • Demonstrated above average computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • This position requires a thorough understanding of trauma-informed care practices to effectively carry out their roles. This knowledge is essential for providing optimal support and services to individuals in a manner that is sensitive, empathetic, and effective.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant human service filed is preferred
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Candidates will also need to complete a compliance-related credential within 2 years
  • A valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of automobile insurance coverage are required.

Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 per year ($28.85 to $38.45 per hour) - dependent on education and experience
