All members of our housekeeping team are essential in making sure our guests have a great stay. Past experience as a hotel, hospital, nursing home cleaner or custodian, or in residential cleaning is helpful.

As a Houseperson, you would:

  • Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by reacting promptly, efficiently, and courteously to all requests.
  • Answer radio promptly.
  • Take responsibility for all chemicals and equipment assigned.
  • Deliver clean linens to and from the guest floors in response to occupancy and supervisor's requirements.
  • Remove all garbage, cots, cribs and dishware from the guest floors and return to their designated locations.
  • Carry out specialized cleaning projects to approved level of competency and productivity, such as carpet and upholstery cleaning, windows and ice machine cleaning etc.
  • Move guest room furniture to and from guest rooms as required by the guest and supervisor.
  • Keep closets and storage area stocked with daily supplies.
  • Assist with all general cleaning and rehabilitation projects, as directed.
  • Report all floor/carpet care needs to the housekeeping office.
  • Report all repair needs to the housekeeping management.
  • Maintain all public and back of the house areas as assigned.
  • Ensure all closets on guest floors remain closed throughout the day.
  • Maintain all equipment in safe, clean condition.
  • Participate in the promotion of safety and security in assigned work area.
  • Support work efforts of other Housekeeping associates, as directed.
  • Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • Follow appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms and appearance.
  • Represent the Hotel with professionalism and decorum.
  • Attend all required Housekeeping Department and other meetings.
  • Maintain all equipment in safe, clean condition.
  • Sweep and mops back landings, stairwells, and closets regularly.
  • Ensure the guest corridor is kept clean and free of debris.
  • Keep hallway mirrors, doors, trash cans, ash urns and ledges clean.
  • Ensure the linen chute is kept empty.
  • Remove dirty linen and takes to loading dock.
  • Pick up trash from the janitor closets and relines cans.
  • Pick up newspapers in the hallway.
  • Deliver waters to proper rooms on time.
  • Clean storage.
  • Mop vending machine areas and keep machine clean.
  • Set up rollaways, cribs, and refrigerators.
  • Put TV Guides in all rooms.
  • Get the supplies needed for linen closets
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for rock star team members who:

  • Have basic English communication skills and are at least 18 years old
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a reliable, responsible conduit between the associates and the management.
  • Minimum of one year in a hotel housekeeping department preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of the housekeeping policies and procedures, room cleaning procedures, chemical usage and handling and equipment usage and handling.
  • Want to provide professional and friendly customer service
  • Have fun working on a team
  • Can lift up to 50 pounds
