PowerBuilder Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for a PowerBuilder Developer with our industry-leading client in Raleigh, NC.

Rate: $40 - $50 / hr. w2

• Enhance and maintain a mission-critical application
• Code/test data windows to replace over 100 sample test result spreadsheet formats that were coded using an outdated 3rd party software tool.
• Coding/testing bug fixes and other functional enhancements to the system.
• Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to support Preconstruction and Scoping business processes that are valuable to the transportation lifecycle

• 5+ years Experience as a PowerBuilder developer using PB10 or more recent versions.
• Strong SQL skills (HiCAMS uses a Sybase database but SQL skills in any database platform are acceptable)
• Strong Microsoft Suite experience, particularly Excel
• Experience with standard development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, unit & system testing, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical skills
• Positive interpersonal skills coupled with an independent, self-motivated work ethic
• Ability to work with a custom base-class
• Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users

Preferred Skills:

• Development experience in C#
• Development experience in Java
• Experience coding stored procedures and triggers (any database)
• Experience developing in a Visual Studio environment
• Data conversion experience
