Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:



  • Monitor and improve the quality of manufactured products.
  • Evaluate nonconforming product and customer complaints to determine proper disposition and resolution.
  • Assist in discovering root cause and improving processes effecting product quality and the quality system.
  • Perform testing and visual assessments of manufactured product in conformance to specifications.
  • Exhibit good self-time management during peak and off-peak production schedule.
  • Exhibit professionalism and cooperation in interactions with customers, suppliers, coworkers, production crews and other facility employees.
  • Ensure that daily safety, housekeeping, and calibration checks are completed and standards followed.
  • Understand and maintain proficiencies in tasks referenced in the employee training record for this position.
  • Performs required testing and visual evaluations of product.
  • Utilizes applicable quality system procedures.
  • Assesses product quality and efficiently communicates quality levels to production crews.
  • Understands and references all applicable quality system documentation.
  • Assist in resolving product quality issues.
  • Ensures proper analysis of all test results.
  • Ensures all test equipment calibration and standardization is maintained at all times.
  • Maintains positive interactions with all technical support as well as production crews.
  • Assists in the training of new or inexperienced quality technicians.
  • Uses statistical terms and tools as required.
  • Documents and communicates results clearly and concisely via use of computer databases, report forms, laboratory notebooks, etc.
  • Assures that systems, procedures, and documentation used are consistent with those outlined in our Quality System.
  • Participates in test variation studies.
  • Assists in product quality assessment studies as needed.
  • Participates in teams and applicable training opportunities.
  • Maintain Quality records and retain sample archives.
  • Provide support throughout the facility, as needed and as time allows, supporting the business.
  • Must be willing and able to work any and all shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic math using a calculator.
  • Ability to use a computer to retrieve emails and other electronic information.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Good organizational skills and housekeeping skills.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Self-motivator: ability to work with limited supervision.
