Job Description

Responsible for developing a variety of product designs for home and commercial markets. This position will be responsible for developing new products; supporting legacy products; sizing and selecting components; creating associated documentation; and supporting product testing, qualification and production.

Responsibilities and Duties
* Review customer specifications and requirements and develop compliant designs to best support them.
* Develop manufacturing drawings, bills of material and associated supporting documentation for fabrication and delivery of products and prototypes.
* Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services.
* Support testing, qualification, documentation and analysis of prototypes, products, systems or subsystems.
* Development of technical documentation, manuals and procedures.
* Work with manufacturing and cross functional teams to achieve project cost and manufacturing efficiency goals.
* Hands-on support of prototype fabrication, assembly and test.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* 2-4 years of relevant experience.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge in Electrical, Software and Systems.
* Competent using MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint).
* Maintain and develop technical knowledge by conferring with technical specialists and suppliers, attending educational workshops, and reviewing professional publications.
