Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $190,000- $237,000 at Assistant Rank, $220,000 - $280,000 at Associate Rank, $250,000 - $330,000 at Full Rank. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan Application Window Open date: September 1, 2024 Most recent review date: Friday, Mar 21, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jun 30, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of Geriatrics, Hospice, and Palliative Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for two full- time faculty members in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full, Professor rank in Geriatric Medicine. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service. Geriatric Medicine Faculty responsibilities include inpatient and/or outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities. The incumbents should be able to provide expert clinical care in the field of geriatric medicine. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues depending on clinical area of focus. Multidisciplinary collaboration is expected for consultative ambulatory practice with support from physical therapy, pharmacy and social work. Inpatient geriatrics consultative work to support orthopedics, trauma service and hospital medicine is also available. Those in the Clinical X series are expected to have a scholarly work portfolio which includes research supported by grant funding and a publication record commensurate with rank. The incumbent is either working towards or already established leader in Geriatric Medicine. Additional leadership opportunities are available for interested and eligible candidates. EXPECTATIONS The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills in geriatric medicine. Provide teaching and supervision to medical students, residents and fellows in clinical care and/or research. The candidate is expected to provide service to the division, department and school of medicine community. The candidate is expected to foster collegial relationships and work collaboratively across the continuum of care. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate excellence in geriatric medicine and serve as a role model for all learners.
