Performs a full range of diagnostic ultrasound imaging/therapeutic services and associated patient care which support the Radiology Department mission to provide diagnostic information for the subsequent treatment of patients at WVU Hospital.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program. 2. Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided. MD: Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians OH: Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology PA: No state license required WV: Radiography License or Temporary Radiography License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board. 3. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography within six months of hire. 4. Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire 5. State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Obtain Dysthymia course certification through WVU Medicine within one year of hire. 2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification. EXPERIENCE: 1. One (1) year of experience as a CV interventional radiologic technologist.
