Program Summary:This position is a time limited educational experience to introduce the new graduate LPN to nursing practice from multiple perspectives through didactic, clinical and experiential opportunities. Participates in all didactic sessions as part of the role, as well as learning to participate in the planning, delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. Program Description:The LPN Transition to Practice program provides recent graduates of nursing schools with an evidence-based curriculum of didactic and clinical skills to support the transition to Ambulatory practice. During the program, participants will attend classes, complete patient care with an experienced preceptor, and participate in simulation to further develop critical thinking skills and increase confidence in safe delivery of care.
