Position Summary The Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University is recruiting a General Surgeon. The University of New Mexico (UNM) Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is an affiliate of the UNM School of Medicine. It is located in Rio Rancho, a large community adjoining Albuquerque. SRMC has 60 beds for adult care. It has 6 operating rooms in which over 3,000 operations are performed each year. It also has an Interventional Radiology and Endoscopy suites. It has a 12-bed ICU staffed with intensivists. SRMC is a Level 3 Trauma Center. The successful recruit will have a busy general surgery practice and will participate in emergency call that will include trauma coverage. This position is being recruited at open rank and open track.
