High Level Disinfection Support Specialist - Sterile Processing - Evenings

Position Highlights:

  • Sign on bonus: 5K
  • Position: High Level Disinfection & Sterilization (HLDS) Support Specialist, Sterile Processing Department
  • Hourly Pay Range: $26.92-39.92. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Location: Skokie, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm
  • Required Travel: Yes

What you will do:

  • Supports and manages the business / operational needs of identified areas with High Level Disinfection / Sterilization (HLDS).
  • Provides support in the development of reports that provide a trend analysis in the areas of: budgets, statistics, capital requests, patient satisfaction surveys and strategic plans.
  • Works with SPD Leadership to develop, interact, and apply department, division and corporate policies, develop and manage processes/policies associated statistical action plans and outcomes of strategic business plans.
  • Performs all financial reconciliation and variance analysis as well as preforms required for strategic plans.
  • Reports directly to Manager, HLDS Operations
  • Works directly with SPD Leadership team to accomplish goals.
  • Works collaboratively with the SPD and Perioperative Services leadership team
  • Compliance with overall strategic plans, financial reconciliation, variance analysis.

What you will need:

  • High School Required
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Two to five years related experience in healthcare sterile processing (or procedural area) environment.
  • Experience in project management and staff education.
  • Must have computer skills and experience with Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Excel applications.
  • Intimate knowledge of Sterile Processing policies and industry (AORN, AAMI, IAHSCMM, etc) best practices
