Elwyn is currently seeking a Mental Health Assistant who will play a crucial role in supporting patients with mental and emotional issues under the supervision of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. Their responsibilities include assisting patients in daily activities, monitoring progress, and observing personal and social behaviors. Additionally, they conduct recreational activities as part of cooperative treatment plans. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL PROFILE: Ongoing interaction with consumers and staff, potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, medicinal preparations and other common conditions in a healthcare environment, and interaction with consumers who may display aggressive and/or self-injurious behaviors.
