Job Description

Safely operate converting pouch machine to standard ensuring product meets quality specifications. Strive to meet quality and production goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safely operate converting machine
  • Support EHS Initiatives
  • Set-up machine to parameter guidelines given on job order within standard timeframe. Update set-up sheet as required.
  • Perform autonomous maintenance to include cleaning machine before each set-up.
  • Monitor the machine during the converting process and making adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure product meets all work order requirements, quality and customer specifications
  • Required documentation is completed
  • Conduct 1st Article approval when converting autoclavable product
  • Conduct in-process inspection tests as required
  • Maintain job data within PRMS. Produce and apply labels.
  • Material handling of pallets and raw materials as needed.
  • Maintain a clean machine and work station.
  • 100% line-clear process following shut down/start up.
  • Other duties as assigned to support
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications: Bilingual English/Spanish required. Ability to set-up and operate a converting machine, troubleshoot and adjust converting machine, along with read drawings and specifications is required, including performing computer data entry functions. Must also have basic math skills (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), along with the ability to use a ruler to measure dimensions. Reasoning ability to identify conforming and non-conforming product additionally required. Required to communicate mechanical or quality issues to supervisors, mechanics, quality coordinators, etc. along with ability to read/write specifications, and instructions in English, as well as complete proper documentation/quality forms. Must be able to follow instructions and work well in a fast-paced industrial environment. Basic mechanical knowledge required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Capable of using a hoist to manipulate movement of materials. Lifting up to 35 pounds. Capable of grasping tools, pallet jacks, etc. Frequently required to stand and walk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Standard light to medium industrial environment. Position is situated in most occasions in a warehouse/production environment. The work environment is located both outdoors and inside a building structure. Hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and PPE are required in various areas due the machinery.
