JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Family & Community Medicine (FCM), at St. Joseph's Hospital, in Reading, PA, is looking for a Human Research Technologist to assist with the residency program. The position will also assist FCM faculty with their research by providing the following tasks:
Candidates should be able to work independently and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and the ability to contribute to the research missions. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs, descriptive statistics, and Spanish speaking are preferred. This is not a remote position. The FCM Research Division has a dynamic team of researchers involved in diverse, collaborative, primary care-based research, including cancer prevention and survivorship, healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, mental health, pain, substance use, health disparities, and more. Our campus is located in the beautiful town of Hershey, which features a high quality of life including excellent schools, numerous venues for indoor and outdoor activities, and proximity to major metropolitan centers. This position will be filled at either a Professional or Intermediate Level depending on the candidates education and experience. This position requires an Associate Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience and/or education are required for higher level jobs.
