JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Materials Processing Division of Applied Research Lab (ARL) at Penn State University is seeking several highly motivated graduate students to assist with various activities in the Materials Processing Division. ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply. Typical duties for a broad range of programs involving cold spray, sputtering, chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition, hot pressing, plating, and microelectronics fabrication, may include:

The successful candidates will work up to 40 hours/week over the summer and 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters. Minimally requires a Bachelors Degree and in an Engineering or Science discipline and be enrolled in a Ph.D. program. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
