Job Description

The Department of History at Augsburg University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in history during the 2022-2023 academic year. Most classes are held during the day, either 2 or 3 days per week. Some classes meet once weekly in the evenings. Instructors are expected to respond to student questions through email, and hold regularly scheduled office hours. These classes are taught in person, on the Minneapolis campus. This is a union position, covered by a collective bargaining agreement with SEIU. Pay starts at $4,750 per course.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in history and significant professional or teaching experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph D in history or related field and teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
