JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference member, is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Creative Content Producer. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Content and Branding.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop digital content, which includes written, video and audio (podcast), forGoPSUsports.comand social media platforms for the enhancement and exposure of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, its 31 teams and 850 student-athletes.
  • Oversee student talent group.
  • Source voiceovers, on camera standups and recorded remote on camera intros and promo elements from student talent group.
  • Ideal candidates should have experience hosting or reporting on camera and be able to provide a reel of their past work.
  • Organize raw footage; prepare and revise edit decision lists, as needed.
  • Proficiency in editing video and audio materials.
  • Log and archive materials according to established data asset management guidelines.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate original and engaging content ideas.
  • Create feature content forGoPSUsports.comas well as selected Athletics' specialty publications.

This position requires considerable initiative, creativity and independence. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations or broadcast journalism is preferred.Proficiency in recording and editing audio/video using Premiere preferred.Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills are a requirement.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $74,000.00
