JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State Athletics Strategic Communications department is seeking candidates interested in learning and working as official statisticians for events hosted on the University Park campus. Candidates should have a basic knowledge in one or more athletic areas, be available for assignments on nights, weekends and occasional holidays, and have the ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment. This position could work with a variety of sports, including - but not limited to - football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey and men's and women's volleyball. Compensation is on a per-game basis and will be paid bi-weekly. Reliable personal transportation is a must. All successful applicants must operate within the rules and regulations set forth by the Penn State athletic department and the NCAA. CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
