JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to hire part-time event support. The ideal candidate will lead the Front of House team at a variety of Center, student, and community performances. Ensure the safety and comfort of the audience. Project a welcoming, capable, and enthusiastic demeanor to patrons, artists, and clients. Handle emergency situations and solve problems for patrons and other stakeholders (caterers, merchandisers, special guests of performers, and so on). Work with other departments such as the Ticket Center and Back of House to ensure our facilities and events are as accessible as possible, and thateach event runs smoothly.Work with the Audience Services Manager to prepare for each event and have a clear understanding of the needs of the audience, team members, and volunteers as well as the physical set-up and tear-down for the location, timing of the event, and reports and paperwork to complete. Be responsible for closing down and securing building. The successful candidate for this position has the opportunity to participate monthly in the CPA Student Advisory Council which builds arts networks across the university and recommends artists for student curated events.
