The Clinical Supervisor provides direct patient care and supervises the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

We are a medical unit with a focus on the gastrointestinal system. Many of our patients present through the emergency department with a variety of interesting and complicated diagnosis. The team on GI Medicine get very familiar working alongside patients with non-specified abdominal pain, acute pancreatitis, crohns disease and GI Bleeds. We work closely with the GI Lab, prepping, sending and receiving patients in need of colonoscopies or endoscopies. Working on this unit you will have the opportunity to build professional relationships with patients who come back multiple times due to their diagnosis and disease processes. This is an exciting unit with lots to offer and great teamwork!

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

  1. BSN degree
  2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
  3. One (1) year of experience in clinical specialty.
  4. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
  5. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
