Master Scheduler

The
Master Scheduler is tasked with helping in the implementation of a standardized
planning process and plays a key role in driving the supply schedule
answer to customer demand opportunities. The Master Scheduler (in collaborating with Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing,
and Finance) builds a balanced and achievable plan of production that answers
the demand potential to deliver the highest level of customer fulfillment with
efficient and timely usage of inventory.

Our Performance Center in Carson, CA is the Engineered Products Group site for our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, and Radio Frequency (RF) product lines.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for maintaining a master schedule, reviewing expedited requests and assisting in the daily production schedules along with driving adherence to the appropriate planning horizons.
  • Develops and/or maintains capacity model inputs and outputs based on demonstrated output standards / actuals and estimates of new capacity conditions.
  • Ensures capacity is level loaded based on available
    capacity to optimally cover demand; includes the coordination of all new
    product introductions, end of life close-outs, and plant(s) labor schedule.
  • Develops metrics to measure manufacturing performance to schedules (lead time, schedule attainment, and schedule adherence) and works with Manufacturing to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Provides WIP , Manufactured Component and Finished Goods inventory plan for the site. Develops strategies and actions to optimize this plan in a manner that supports customer needs while also minimizing inventory levels.
  • Conducts various gap and post mortem analyses between actual and forecasts, identifying key drivers for discussion in a future state SIOP demand consensus agenda.
  • Focus on continuous improvement within scope of responsibilities for developing, improving, and implementing sound materials management practices.
  • Ensure ITAR compliance and control through secured and coded correspondence and designated/ approved communication portals.

    projects and participation in project committees

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of and experience with demand management principals and processes coupled with end-to-end supply chain operational processes.
  • Experience introducing/working with supply chain solutions, software and systems is beneficial.
  • Hands on experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence in cross-functional situations.
  • Keen analytical skills, advanced Excel

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain operations, materials management, logistics or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of ERP/MRP experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of proven Supply Chain and planning experience in a similar role.
  • Aerospace or Electronic component manufacturing experience desired.

Licenses, Certifications, etc.

  • APICS or equivalent Supply Chain certification preferred.

Base Compensation: USD 75,000.00 - 95,000.00 Paid Salaried
