We are currently looking for the "gear heads", the "fixer folks", the people that love to take things apart, figure out how they work, and then put them back together. We are looking for a Machine Builder! We have a wonderful opportunity at a company that provides small company feel with big company compensation and benefits! All on FIRST SHIFT (6am to 2pm Monday through Friday)!! Position Summary: This position is responsible for the assembly of machines by following blueprints and other written/verbal specifications. Functions and Responsibilities: Drills, taps or reams holes using drill presses Aligns components and bolts, screws or rivets them together using hand tools or portable power tools Installs moving parts such as shafts, levers and bearings Removes burrs and other small particles of metal with hand files and grinders Bend and install pipe for hydraulic systems May install wiring and other electrical components Do all actions while verifying alignment and tolerances using measuring instruments Test or assist with testing of the operation of completed product Complete accurate documentation as required Keep work area neat and organized All other duties assigned to promote core values, positive culture, and team building efforts #Manitowoc1 Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification or schooling is preferred Previous machine building experience is preferred but proven knowledge of the processes, procedures and hands on related experience would be considered Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and thoroughly is necessary Exhibit high attention to detail Computer experience is preferred including SAP, MS Office products and SolidWorks.
