Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities
Income Tax
* Assist with preparation of the consolidation of the global income tax provision and preparation
of US federal/state tax calculations in accordance with ASC 740 and financial statement
disclosures on a quarterly and annual basis.
* Assist with tax controls process and documentation.
* Assist with preparation and review in the federal and state/local tax compliance process to
ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and payment of estimated taxes.
* Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and communicate the effects of these
developments to management and the tax team.
* Regularly interact with tax authorities, including but not limited to management of tax audits,
response to tax notices, and independent resolution of tax matters.
* Develop effective working relationships with non-tax counterparts in finance, legal and treasury.
* Exhibit project management and self-management, communication and teaming skills.
* Demonstrate ownership and accountability for achieving goals and objectives.

Sales/Use/Property Tax Compliance
* Oversee the critical, complex area of sales/use/property tax compliance for the Company.
* Ensure ESAB is collecting proper tax and fees in required jurisdictions. This includes monitoring
against thresholds
* Maintain Vertex configurations.
* Ensure that customers are charged/credited the correct sales tax.
* Verify and maintain documentation for exempt customer sales.
* Monitor ever changing tax environment including timely review of changes
* Vertex tool and Vertex Returns updates.
* Respond to and monitor notices and audits

Business Licenses and Other Tax Filings
* Maintain the tracking system used to ensure that all business licenses, annual reports and tax
reports are filed and paid timely.
* Maintain annual detail schedule of Business Activity Taxes; research and file returns as required.
* Monitor ever changing government requirements and implement any changes timely.
* For tax filings that are prepared by outside tax accountant, make payments and enter filings as
applicable, doing this online whenever possible. Gather data or prepare schedules as requiredby outside accountant. Verify tax refunds are received correctly.
* At year end, prepare Sales by State report
* Maintain a quarterly expense schedule of Other Taxes and Licenses
* For all electronic payments, timely forward information to AP for posting
* File the necessary documents to open or close a PC location in a state with the Secretary of State and other departments as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, tax, or related field
* 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field
* Experience with global income tax provision, US federal and state tax compliance, and tax
planning projects.
* Experience in ERP and consolidation tools.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
* Strong project management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize and meet deadlines, and
contribute to a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability.
* Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, people, and organizational skills.
* Ability to think strategically with excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Skilled in synthesizing data and distilling key points.
