Associate Engineer - Civil & Structural (Hybrid)

As an experienced Engineer you will support civil / structural design activities like calculation creation in the area of structural steel or concrete design. You will be an individual contributor using comprehensive knowledge to complete complex or specialized projects adapting to precedent. You will make departures from traditional approaches to developing solutions.

You will report to the Manager of Structural Steel, Embedment & Architectural Design in a hybrid position based in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

• 
  

  Civil/structural design activities like calculation creation for structural steel or concrete

  
  
• 
  

  Address technical issues for fabrication, assembly, and construction like technical justification of design changes and troubleshooting of emergent issues

  
  
• 
  

  On-Site support at utilities when requested

  
  
• 
  

  Use analytical tools like ANSYS, LS-DYNA, and GTSTRUDL

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain software compliance records and closure of engineering corrective actions

  
  
• 
  

  Apply industry civil/structural codes like ACI, AISC, and AWS standards and internal company procedures

  
  
• 
  

  Develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs

  
  

• 
  

  3+ years of experience

  
  
• 
  

  Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or equivalent
